The Vanguard action incorporates a one-piece fluted bolt with three gas ports and two locking lugs for a 90-degree bolt lift. The bolt shroud is fully enclosed for extra strength and structural integrity, and features a traditional side release of the bolt assembly. Embellishments such as a knurled bolt knob add to the beauty and value of this popular rifle.
